County League Division 5 played at Duagh Sunday April 12th.Duagh 1-18

In ideal conditions Tom Scanlon opened the scoring for Duagh in the first
minute with a point from play and Duagh's Nigel O Connor followed on on 3rd
minute with a point from play.Ger McCarthy made it 3 nil on 6th minute with
a pointed free and Daniel O Donoghue made it 4 nil with a point from play
on 9th minute.With Anthony Maher at midfield Duagh seemed to be scoring
quite freely at this stage.However Stacks responded with 2 good points from
play from Seamus Bastible on 10th minute
and Dale Counihan on 11th minute to close the gap.On the 20th minute a fast
Duagh attack ended with Nigel O Connor finishing to the Stacks net.Ger
McCarthy(play) of Duagh and Danny Carroll (free) of Stacks swapped points
on 24th and 26th minute.
This was Stacks last point of the half.With Duagh attacking alot 4 more
points were added before half time,Ger McCarthy (play)on 27th minute,Nigel
O Connor (play) on 28th minute,Anthony Maher (play) on 29th minute and Ger
McCarthy (free) on 30th minute
Half Time Duagh 1-9  Austin Stacks 0-3.Stacks had a mountain to climb and
Duagh added 3 further points quickly Maher from play on 1st minute,Ger
McCarthy free
4th minute and Nigel O Connor from play on 6th minute to increase Stacks
woe.
However a high ball for Stacks was finished to the Duagh net by Sean
Fitzmaurice to close the rather large gap.Ger McCarthy of Duagh responded
with 2 points on 9th (free) minute and 14th minute (play).Daniel O Donoghue
of Duagh ran through the defence on 16th minute and pointed from
play.Stacks Danny Carroll pointed from play on 21st minute but the result
was now not in question.Duagh's Nigel O Connor on 22nd minute and Dinny
Lane on 23rd minute both pointed from play.Danny Carroll pointed a free for
Stacks on 25th minute.Nigel O Connor finished the Duagh scoring on 30th
minute with a point from play and Stacks scoring was completed with a
pointed free by Danny Carroll before referee blew final whistle.Final score

Duagh will play Scartaglen in the first round of the Kerry junior

Duagh juniors had another good win last week defeating Brosna B in the North Kerry league.
