  Castleisland Desmonds 0-16 Kilmacud Crokes 3-4

In a Dramatic and hugely Entertaining all ireland Semi Final Desmonds ladies came from 4 points down to draw level and then to push on and defeat the visitors by 4 points to book their place in the All ireland final against the connought champions on the weekend of 28/29 nov  Desmonds got off their mark early with points by Steffi and Andrea murphy but scorable wides didnt help as the locals were dominant in the early stages of the game .Desmonds were rattled by 3 goals from the visitors in the first half the first coming from Lauren Magee  .A couple of minutes later  two goals in as many minutes by Rachel Gallagher and Holly Greer turned the tide in favour of kilmacud and Desmonds were left to chase for the rest of the game .

And chase they did as Kilmacud lead by 3-0to 0-6 at half time .The second half continued at frantic pace as Desmonds began to reel in the visitors .Every ball was contested to to limit The Pressure was well on as Leanne Mangan slotted over the points as the clocked ticked down Desmonds were awarded a free and with the eyes and the pressure of the world on her Cool as a breeze Leanne Mangan Slotted over the ball to earn extra time in the game .Desmonds got their chance and pulled ahead in the first period of extra time Desmonds  had the lead and such was their determination that no one was was going to catch them they held on for a marvellous win .On the day the entire team gave it their all but In Goal Mellisa Holland could not be blamed for the goals brilliant kick outs and a point blank save late in the game ;the full back line were supberb Miriah curtin ,Marian shine brilliant with Aoife lyons Playing the Game of her life .The Mangans Eda and Tina Were stong Dependable and didnt give an inch Cait lynck Lead With Conviction  and her long probing runs were a joy to watch  .Andrea murphy  0 -2 covered every blade of grass and along with Aisling Leonard 0-1 attacked at every oppertunity .Eilish lynch Lorraine Scanlon 0- 2 Turned the the game in extra time with two inch perfect passes to the forward line Rachel Cronin Used her speed at every oppertunity and set up some supberb moves .Aine O connor tried hard all through as did Steff Murphy 0 -1 Leanne Mangan had the Game of her young life and and scored 10 supberb points .but the big talking point after the game was the team spirit and performance .Well done to the Managment team of Billy Mangan Steve murphy Pa White Dan kearney and Aileen  Lynch and  club officers everything went off without a hitch and Roll on the final .Subs wer karen mangan Elaine Guiney Alisa o sullivan  Shauna o connor Leanne O Connor and Jane lynch .

North kerry Championship 

Desmonds seniors take on Ballydonoghue in the north Kerry Championship in Castleisland on this Sunday 23rd at 2 Pm
