CPR/Defibrillator Training

The CPR/AED training course will take place on Saturday 29th June 2019 in Ballylongford GAA hall. There will be 3 sessions on the day 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm with a maximum of 30 people per session. The course takes one hour to complete. This training is free and it concentrates on recognising cardiac arrest, making the 112 call, listening to the call taker and knowing your Eircode. Candidates then get to practice hands only compressions on a mannequin and there is also a section on AED awareness, choking, child CPR, recognising stroke and the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack. Please note that those who attend the training must be over 18 years.                                                               Please contact Secretary Caroline O Connor 0879107553 with your preferred time a few more names are needed to fill remaining spots.
