Beale GAA â€“ Sept 12^th

Beale minors were defeated by Emmets in the North Kerry League, Division 1, on Saturday evening. A competitive game with Emmets finishing stronger at the final whistle, Beale 2-7, Emmets 2-16.Beale lined out as: Gavin Casey, Pádraig Holly, Seamie O’Sullivan, Tommy O’Neill, Alan Breen, Fionnán Toomey, Jack O’Sullivan, Johnny O’Sullivan (0-2), Fintan Linnane, Shaun Maloney, Callum McSweeney (0-1), Mikey Hannan (01), Eric Daly, Cillian Courtney (0-3), Jordan O’Rourke. Substitutes: Killian Downey for Shaun Maloney, Mike Moran (0-1) for Jordan O’Rourke, Niall Downey for Killian Downey and Michael Faley (1-0) for Eric Daly. Our juniors fared no better, losing out to Charlie Kerins in the quarter final of the Cahill Cup in Ballybunion on Wednesday last, 3-10 to 2-9.

Beale seniors play Listry in the semi-final of the Junior Club Championship on Sunday, October 2^nd at 2.30pm in Strand Road, Tralee. Fossa play Scartaglin in the other semi-final on the same date. We await details of the semi-final of the North Kerry League, Division 1, against Ballydonoghue.

A great night was had by all on Saturday last in JD’s when Ballybunion Wildcats and Beale GAA presented the Ballybunion Rose Ball. All nine roses were stunning on the night and the Beale lads were very dapper as escorts. The winning rose was Beale Ladies’ star, Norma Houlihan, representing Sundaes Ice Cream Parlour. Darragh Buckley was her dashing young escort.  Jake O’Connell was voted wining escort on the night.

The draw for the North Kerry Championship has been rescheduled for Friday, September 23^rd, in McMunn’s Bar and Restaurant, Ballybunion.

Best of luck to Cormac Linnane and the Kerry minors in the All-Ireland final against Galway on Sunday, Cormac came on as a substitute early in the second half of the All-Ireland minor semi-final and helped Kerry to victory over Kildare. Beale GAA wish Cormac the best of luck in helping Kerry make it three-in-a-row.
