Cheltenham Preview Night:  Friday night, February 27th is Cheltenham Preview Night at the Dew Drop in. In attendance will be David Casey Jockey, Luke McMahon Bookmaker/Owner, Berkie Browne Bookmaker, Michael Winters Trainer, Tommy Cooper Trainer and a live phone in with Ted Walsh from RTE. Entry at the door is €10 and things kick off at 8:30pm.
County Minor Football League:  Out minors got their 2015 League campaign off to a flyer on Sunday last with a sessions things will turn around pretty soon. comprehensive 2-08 to 0-04 win away to Currow.  The early season preparation paid off and hopefully the lads can keep things going.  Massive well done to team and mentors. Next up is a local derby versus St. Senans at 4:00pm this coming Saturday.
North Kerry Senior League 2015.  Our seniors took on Beale in Rd1 of the North Kerry senior league last Thursday under lights in Listowel. On a bitterly cold night, Beale started the stronger and it was evident their fitness levels were much higher than ours.  Given that it is approximately a month since Beale took the North Kerry Championship, Beale were expected to be that bit ahead of us at this time of year.  We lined out minus a good few players, but the lads showed that the hunger is still there and they played much better in the second half. However, Beale extended their unbeaten run in NK competitions and took the points back to the seaside.   It's early season stuff for our lads at the moment and no doubt with a few more training sessions things will turn around.
