Beale Gaa Notes   12/02/2023

Goals win matches and Duagh ensured that with a hat-trick when we met them in the North Kerry League, in Ballybunion on Sunday. They were the slicker outfit in the opening half, raising the green flag in the opening few minutes and added a further two goals before the interval. While we pegged them back to within five points, we trailed by 3-7 to 0-8 at the short whistle.

We upped the tempo on the changeover, fighting hard for every ball and outscored our opponents by six points to two, keeping them scoreless until the final ten minutes. However, we ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline, 0-14 to 3-9. Our final round game is against Brosna next Sunday.

Beale Minors travel to play Lispole/Annauscaul on Saturday in the first round of the County League, Division 6B. The following weekend we host Fossa and then are away to Skellig/Valentia the next weekend. Other teams in this division are St Senans and Firies.

Beale seniors contest the County League. Division 4, again this year. Our first game is on the weekend of March 19th when we host Sneem/Derrynane. Then at the beginning of April, we host Cromane and travel to St Senans at Easter.

A great night at the Beale Social on Saturday last in the Golf Club. Medals were presented to our victorious Juniors by Kerry star, Jason Foley.
