All roads lead to Duagh on Sunday! Beale seniors will be looking to redress the balance from last year as we face Brosna on Sunday in the North Kerry Senior Championship quarter final. Our campaign in 2021 was short-lived as Brosna were the authors of our downfall in the quarter final. Eventhough missing many of our regular starting team due to injury, we were well in contention at half time in that game. We had put the first point on the board, and, despite missing scoring chances, we went in at the interval just four points adrift, 1-2 to 1-6.
However, Brosna turned the game, and the writing was on the wall for us at the second water break. Things didn't get much better thereafter, and we couldn’t stem the tide as a third goal sealed victory for Brosna. We yielded to a stronger team by 1-6 to 3-14. We will be hoping to balance the books on Sunday in Duagh. Throw in is at 2.30.
Our juniors play the winners of Desmonds B/St Senans B in North Kerry Intermediate Cup semi-final. We await details.
There was no jackpot winner in this week’s Beale Lotto. There were 2 Match-3 winners, Brendan Brennan and Con Carmody (Jnr), who each won €50. Numbers drawn were and 6, 9, 15 and 23. Next week’s jackpot is €2,000. The draw takes place on Sunday night in The Exchange Bar at 9 o’clock. A huge ‘míle buíochas’ to everyone who supports and promotes the Beale Lotto.
Tickets, €2 each or 3 for a fiver, are available in Joyce’s Newsagents or in the local pubs. Play online by downloading the Clubforce app or simply click the link on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages or log onto https://clubforce.com/clubs/
