Beale GAA   09/08/2022

Beale seniors lost out to Firies in the second match of Group 3 of the County Junior Club Championship on Saturday evening. Our opponents hit the ground running while it took us over twenty minutes to register our first point. We settled into the game then and our backs soaked up the pressure. We were five points adrift at the short whistle, 1-9 to 1-4.

Firies rattled the net on the changeover and added another point without reply. The writing was on the wall for us in the second half and we couldn’t stem the tide as a third goal sealed victory for Firies. We put some good moves together but were guilty of spilling the ball and were duly punished from the resulting turnovers. The full-time score read 3-15 to 1-8. Our final round game will be against Asdee the weekend of August 21st.

Beale juniors had a good win over Tarbert in Division 4A of the North Kerry League. The final score was 3-7 to 2-9. We travel to Moyvane on Tuesday evening for a 7.30 throw-in.

Beale juniors contest the North Kerry Intermediate Cup. Other teams in this championship are St Senans, Desmonds, Emmetts, Ballydonoghue and Moyvane. Fixtures will be issued at later date.
