Juniors : Tarbert juniors had a good win last Monday evening against Charlie Kerins on a scoreline of 4-18 to 2-5. Their next game is at home on Friday 23rd June where they are at home to Ardfert.

Seniors : Our seniors had mixed luck over the past two weeks where they defeated Sneem/Derrynane but lost out to Lispole in the county league. Last Saturday evening Tarbert travelled to Lispole losing on a scoreline of 1-7 to 1-5. Tarbert playing against a very strong wind in the first half played so excellent football and scored one of their best goals for some time with a great passing movement orchestrated by wing back Kevin Enright allowing Cillian Langan to rattle the next. This put Tarbert in the driving seat and were up 1-3 to 0-4 at this stage before they allowed Lispole in for an opportunist goal just before half time. The second half was a different story with Tarbert kicking a massive tens wides and Lispole working their counter attach movements well running out winners in a very tense but enjoyable game of football. The previous Sunday Tarbert made the long trip to Derrynane to take on Sneem Derrynane in a must win game for both teams. Again with the aid of the wind Sneem Derrynane were the better side in the first half and led on a scoreline of 0-8 to 0-4. Tarbert levelled matters half way through the second half at 0-10 each thanks to some excellent scores by Mark Buckley, Finbarr Carrig, Cillian Langan and Gerald O’Sullivan but the game developed into a nip and tuck finish with Cillian Langan scoring the winning point in injury time and Tarbert winning on a scoreline of 0-15 to 0-14. Tarbert now take on Dr. Crokes B next Sunday in Shannon Park at 2pm where your support would be appreciated.

The U-12 team made the long journey down to Renard last Sunday and came away with a good result winning on a scoreline of 4-26 to 5-5, the team take on Annuscaul/Lispole this weekend.
