Anthony Curtin Memorial Tournament

A huge crowd turned out on Sunday afternoon in Pairc na nGael, Clounmacon to honour the late Anthony Curtin. The afternoon saw players both past and present tog out in a 7 aside tournament in the cold and wet, playing on the pitch that Anthony once helped purchase for the club.  A special plaque was unveiled to the Curtin family along with a bunch of flowers been presented to Anthony’s wife Kitty. Players of the winning team were presented medals, a player of the tournament trophy was presented to Seamus Twomey for the men’s tournament and Laura Lavery of the ladies tournament.  All in all the afternoon was a great success. Huge thanks to all who helped make the event a success and a huge thank you to everyone who turned out on this special occasion to honour Anthony, a man who made an outstanding contribution to Clounmacon GAA Club and Clounmacon Community centre.   

North Kerry League

Clounmacon will play Listowel in the Semi Final of Division 3 North Kerry League on Wednesday 13th May. Throw in at 7pm in Asdee. Please come along and show your support for Clounmacon.
