It’s a crucial game when we travel to play Austin Stacks B on Saturday evening. With just one game left in the County League, Division 4, we are hovering in the relegation zone. We rank ninth on the table, with only four wins from ten games.

Tarbert are our opponents in the opening match of Group 3 of the County Junior Club Championship. We are awaiting details of the date and venue.

Beale juniors came up short against Ballyduff in Division 4A of the North Kerry League last Tuesday. Our game with Moyvane has been postponed until July 16th.Our final round game is against Clounmacon and then we play the postponed game against Tarbert in mid-July.

North Kerry U-21s’ trip to Waterville was worthwhile, coming away with a good win over South Kerry in the second round of the County Championship. The final score was 2-12 to 0-13. North Kerry U-17s kick off the County Championship, Group 1, against Rathmore on July 18th. Their second-round game will be against St Brendan’s Board and final round against East Kerry.

The winning numbers drawn inthis week’s Beale Lotto on Monday nightwere 4, 12, 24 and 30. There was no jackpot winner and one Match-3 winner, Berkie Browne, who wins €100.

The Lotto draw will be held on Monday nights for the next few weeks. Next week’s jackpot is €1,150. The draw takes place in The Bunker Bar on Monday at 9 o’clock. A huge ‘míle buíochas’ to everyone who supports and promotes the Beale Lotto.

Well done to all our young competitors in the County Final of Scór na bPáistí last Saturday. Theyall did Beale GAA Club proud on the evening in representing the North Kerry area. It was a great night of traditional Irish dance, music, song, storytelling and drama .

Pride of place went to the Instrumental Music group of Katie Joyce, Gracie O’Sullivan, Finan Fogarty, Saoirse Fogarty and Marianne Kiely, who, despite having been up against top opposition, came in second place. The other participants - Recitation, Jack Browne, and the Novelty Act with Katie Joyce, Jack Browne, Evie O Connor, Rory O Connor, Evelyn Pierce, Gracie O Sullivan and Patsy Rose Byrne - gave outstanding performances. A huge ‘buladh bos’ to mentors, Betty Joyce, Finola Fogarty and Martina Browne and to Beale GAA Cultural Officer, Claire O'Mahoney, for their hard work and commitment in encouraging these young people to participate and enjoy our tradition
