Our seniors had the upperhand on Scartaglin on Saturday evening in the County League, Division 4. We got off to a dream start with an early goal. Our opponents found scores hard to come by and we were ahead by 1-5 to a point at the short whistle.

 They came back at us on the changeover with two unanswered points. It was a tough first fifteen minutes and our lads responded well to the challenge. We picked off some great scores and the final score read, Beale 3-8, Scartaglin 0-6.

 Our next two games are in Ballybunion. We host Duagh on Saturday evening at 7 o’clock. In mid-May, we welcome Knocknagoshel to Páirc de Staic.

 Tarbert are our opponents in the opening round of Group 3 of the County Junior Club Championship. We await details. Ballyduff minors came up short against Rathmore in the final of the County Minor League, Division 2.

 The numbers drawn on Sunday night for this week’s Beale Lotto were 2, 3, 16 and 27. There was no jackpot winner and no Match-3 winners. Luck Dip winners, Aidan Hanrahan and Denis Healy (online), John Larkin and Jodie Fitzmaurice, each won €25.
