Beale seniors came up short against Tarbert on Saturday in the final round of the North Kerry League, Division 1. Played in difficult windy conditions in Tarbert, the teams were on level par at half time on four points apiece. We edged ahead on the changeover and raised the green flag from the penalty spot, giving us a 1-5 to 0-4 advantage. Some indiscipline set in and a player from each side sent to the line. Tarbert pulled back our lead and we fought hard to keep ahead. It was tit for tat as the final whistle neared but a quick Tarbert free in injury time ended with the ball in the back of the net. The final score read, Beale 1-7, Tarbert 2-7. We have finished the league with just two points from four games.

Beale seniors begin our County League, Division 5A campaign on Sunday when we travel to Ballyduff. The last time these two teams met, we lost out in the North Kerry Championship. We will be seeking to balance the books and get the league off on the right foot. Throw in on Sunday is at 2 o’clock. Our second game will be on March 24th, when we host Sneem-Derrynane in Ballybunion. In May, we play Tousist and Kenmare Shamrocks B. June is a busy month with games against Miltown-Castlemaine B, Scartaglin and Dingle B. Our final two games will be against Kerins O‘Rahillys B and Dr Crokes C in July.

We travel to Renard for our opening game in Group 2 of the County Junior Club Championship at the end of March. Asdee and Moyvane contest this group too.

Beale minors host Ardfert in Páirc de Staic at 4 o’clock on Saturday in Division 4 of the County League. We travel to Currow the following Saturday for a 3 o’clock throw-in and we host Fossa in Ballybunion at the end of March. We await details of our game with Annauscal/Lispole.
