After a short lay-off from Coiste Scor overthe festive season it is back to competition time once again continuing  at Scor Na nOg  in what will be a busy weekend ahead with theCounty Finals of Quiz on this Friday January 18th followed on Sunday January 20^thby the Munster Finals for the remaining seven catagories.

QUIZ.  It is important to note that due to a change in this category for the past number ofyears the outright winners in each County will go directly through to the AllIreland Scor Na nOg Finals which this year will take place in the “Travellers Friend”  Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Saturday February23^rd  11am, prior to the mainevent. This applies to both Scor Na nOg and Scor Sinsear. So on this FridayJanuary 18^th, 7pm, at the Centre Of Excellence, Currow; Clubs fromaround the various District Boards will battle it out for the right torepresent their County at the National Finals in Junior Scor. Those great rivalKillarney clubs Dr. Crokes and Legion led the way in a ding dong struggle inlast years County Finals with the latter edging out their neighbours by asingle point and going through to the Finals. Once again it is expected that itwill go down to the wire before a winner is declared.

MUNSTER FINALS 

Kerry will be represented in all seven catagories atthis years Munster Scor Na nOg Finals which will be going ahead in theCommunity Centre, Waterford on this Sunday January 20^th. 2pm. where all  Scorenthusiasts  will be travelling in hugenumbers to the County Waterford venue to cheer on their respective Clubs tofurther glory and hopefully a place in the All Ireland Finals at the end of thedays proceedings; which this year will take place in the “Travellers Friend”Royal Theatre,Castlebar on Saturday February 23^rd.

Once again the East Kerry Board will leadthe way with Spa involved in both Figure and Set Dancing while  Glenflesk take part in the Ballad Groupdiscplines. Martin Larkin will be all out to bring glory to Sneem in SoloSinging as will Gearoid Evans at Recitation for his Club Keel. The NaGaeil  and Finuge Clubs will be hoping towin over the judges vote as they perform in the Leiriu and Instrumental  Music catagories respectively.  All thewinners on the day will qualify for the National Finals.
