STARS IN THEIR EYES

We've just about recovered from our Club Fundraisersecond edition of “Stars in Their Eyes” on Saturday November 18th   and on behalf of the Club we would like totake this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to make not alone the nighthappen but proved once again what a wonderful and generous local Community andsurrounding parishes can do.,
The night was a massive success, with all 12 acts showcasing their immensetalent and treating a packed to the rafters Asdee Community Centre to anincredibly high standard from our organising committee to our many generoussponsors both locally and from surrounding parishes, vote sellers and everyonewho gave up their time or equipment to get the place ready.

And of course, a big thanks to all who gave theirsupport prior to, or on the night for creating such a lively atmosphere whichshowed the marvelous community spirit that exists.

Our judges Timmy Moynihan, Frances Kennedy & Ger 'Flash' Walsh were mighty entertainmentvalue throughout the event & really added to it, while Eoin Kennedy presented the show in the guise of Donald Trump.

The 'Stars of the Night' Prize winners were Tom Kennedy & Tracy Long for their fantastic rendition& perfect choreography for Meatloaf's Anything for Love.
The Judges Prize winners were 'North Kerry Tools for Hire' for theiroutstanding Beach Boys medley, which had the hall bouncing.

The Popular Vote Prize was won by Sinead Carr, whoshowed she was a star in the making with her song 'Cén Fáth?'
The 'Best Act Manager' Award was won by
Ivan Tydings, which was well deserved for his trojan work notforgetting of course all the remaining competitors who were duly awarded withan individual prize each.

Special mention to Beale GAA for their immense help& support, to Mike Breen for the mighty flooring job in the Marquee, toRichard O BrienJim Quinn & Martin Houlihan for their great help & technical support. There is one man who deserves enormous credit and the Club are really indebtedto Eoin Kennedy; who in fact was the brain child of this event and whoorganised the whole evenings entertaintment with the help of a very willingCommittee.

The hall was hopping from start to finish, with thebar, run by JoeGemma, & Marquee buzzing with life as the verypopular Ger 'Flash' Walsh provided the excellent entertainment afterwards, thevillage really couldn't have asked for a better night out.
