Asdee GAA   18/09/2017

MINORS  Asdee/Bally  1-4 Ballyduff/Duagh 5-11. Our Minor footballers of so much was expected ofafter doing well in all other competitions during the year just failed to showtheir true form on the day and bowed out of the Division 2 “Jotty HollyMemorial Minor North Kerry  Championshipat the semi final stage. It was simply a bad day at the office as theBallyduff/Duagh combination side just breezed past a disjointed outfit who hadvery few of the team playing up to the standard expected. Dowling Park, Coolardwas the venue and this game was effectively over by the end of the firstquarter as Ballyduff/Duagh led 4-2 without reply playing against the breeze. Ouronly score in that opening half came from Conor Keane leaving the intervalscore; Ballyduff/Duagh 4-4 Asdee/Bally 0-1. In fairness Asdee/Bally came moreinto the game on resumption; maybe the opposition took their foot off the pedalbut credit the boys in blue and white they showed some flashes of football thatthey are capable of playing. Eoin O Connor and Conor Carmody added points whileSean Hanrahan pushed up from midfield to billow the net. Still Ballyduff/Duaghweathered that storm and finished with a florish scoring a further 1-7 to seala fully deserved victory that was really never in doubt.Team; Cathal Doran,Sean Carmody, Gavan Stack, Conor Carmody, 0-1, James O Connor, Pa Carmody, JackKeane, Sean Hanrahan, 1gl, Shea Doran, Eoin O Connor, 2pts, Conor Keane, 1pt,Liam Mulvihill, Anton O Connor.
