SCL Div 5 Moyvane V Churchill:

Quick delivery to the forwards, and tight defensive work helped Moyvane overcome visitors Churchill on Saturday last.  The home side looked very much in control in the opening 10 minutes out scoring Churchill 1-3 to a point, our points coming from Martin Stack (2) and Shane Stack and the goal from James Noonan. Half Time score saw Moyvane leading by a point, 1-3 to 0-5.

Moyvane started the second half brightly with points from Brian and Martin Stack. This was a highly entertaining half of football with the home side working diligently to maintain their lead throughout.  Moyvane saw scores from Brian Stack (3), Martin Stack (3), Colin Enright (2), James Noonan and Donal Leahy.  A goal from Moyvane's Shane Stack on the 42nd minute looked to seal the result for Moyvane although the final minutes remained exciting when the visitors raised the green flag. The result on the Final whistle was Moyvane 2-11, Churchill 1-10.
