Beale minors are though to the final of the County League, Division 6, after a comprehensive win over Knocknagoshel/Brosna in the semi-final on Friday evening in Knocknagoshel. Beale went into this semi final as underdogs especially with Fionnân Toomey out through injury. This age group only beat Knock/Brosna once and that was considered a fluke! The game started with both teams picking off points and after ten minutes it was three points apiece. A goal was the start of Beale's purple patch and two more  goals quickly followed, leaving the score at the short whistle, 3-7 to 6 points.

The second  half was a repeat of the first with Beale defending well and attacking and finishing with pin-point precision as goals were the order of the day. Knock/Brosna never gave up and our defence were well in control. Our opponents kicked a few consolation points as the game finished 6-17 to 11 points. A great victory for a very young team. Beale lined out: Gavin Casey, Diarmuud  Mahoney, David Hennessy, Jack O'Sullivan, Tommy O'Neill, Darragh Kissane, Fintan Linnane, Callum Mcsweeney, Seán Maloney, Eric Daly, Bernard O'Callaghan, Jordan O'Rourke and Paddy O'Rourke. Substitutes, Luke O'Donovan for Paddy O'Rourke, Barry O'Neill for Jordan O'Rourke, Mikey Hannon for Eric Daly, Conor Toomey, Conor Breen, Aaron Kelly and Niall Downey.

We now play Castlegregory in the final. These teams could not be separated at the final whistle when they met earlier in the competition. Date and venue for final to be confirmed.

We have received a walkover from Ballylongford in the Preliminary Round of the County Novice Championship. We are drawn against Asdee in the first round. Our North Kerry League game against Brosna is scheduled for Sunday at 1.30pm in Brosna. The next round of the County League is on the June Bank Holiday weekend when we host Dr Crokes in Ballybunion.

We edged past Ballyduff in the North Kerry Junior League, Division 4B, on Tuesday last on a score line of 1-8 to 1-6. Beale lined out: Diarmuud Cummins, John Nlake, John Hriffin, John M Horgan, Tommy O'Neill, Stephen Halvin, Wayne Jones, Paul Horgan, Tom Pieece, Mickey Jones, Ian Blake, Callum McSweeney, Cillian Courtney, Brendan Brennan and Barry O'Mahony. Substitutes, Colm Carolan for Stephen Galvin, Philip Hornyak, Podge Rowan, Wayne Hayes and Gearóid Costello. We host Knocknanure in our last round game on Thursday in Ballybunion.

Shannon Rangers play St Brendan's in the Preliminary Round of the Senior County Championship on Saturday, May 6th, in Austin Stack Park, Tralee.
