There were a number of important Senior Football League Playoffs down for decision over the Bank Holiday weekend to decide outstanding Promotion and Relegation issues:

Division 4 Promotion Playoff

Dr Crokes 3-9

Skellig Rangers 0-14

Dr Crokes, who played all the second half with just 14 men, are promoted to Division 3 next season following a hard earned four points victory over Skellig Rangers in the Division 4 promotion playoff in Cromane on Bank Holiday Monday. The winners got the boost of an early goal from the penalty spot by Billy Courtney but with Darragh O’Sullivan pointing regularly, Skellig held a one point lead at the break, 0-7 to 1-3. Jason Lyne goaled on the restart for Crokes and Billy Courtney added points but Skellig, with Stephen O’Sullivan and Bernard Walsh marshalling the defence and Michael O’Sullivan finding his range, fought back to level the game with thirteen minutes to play. A late goal by Jamie Doolan finally secured victory for Dr Crokes who are promoted to Division 3 next season along with Keel and Lispole.
