Senans entertained Laune Rangers in a close game with both sides anxious for league points.
The visitors attacked from the throw in, but the Senans backs turned over the ball and Jason Browne opened the scoring with a point. Cathal Kennelly and Sean O’Connell increased the lead to three points before Colm O’Shea pointed from a free for Ranger’s first score. Maurice Foley and O’Connell exchanged points before two frees from Colm O’Shea had the
sides level at the end of the quarter. Colm O’Shea with his fifth point (f) gave Laune Ranger a point lead at the break 0-06 to 0-05.
Padraig Quille had the side’s level again on the restart and Senans with the aid of the breeze in the second half went into a three point lead. Cian O’Shea got through for a goal leading to a frantic final ten minutes. Sean O’Connell pointed giving Senans the advantage and with the Senans backs defended ferociously they held on to win by a single point.
