Killarney Legion 1-12 Currow 1-12 

 

A draw, the final result, which was probably fair, even though both sides will have felt they could have snatched it.  Currow were very thankful to Dan O’Shea who scored seven points(5f) and a well struck penalty from Mike McCarthy with just five minutes left on the clock.  Pa McCarthy then gave Currow the lead for the first time, but they were to be denied by Conor Keane with an equaliser on the stroke of time.  Indeed, the same player returned 1-6 for the Legion and his goal was right out of the top drawer, dancing his way through the defence at an angle before unleashing a powerful finish to the net.  The win keeps The Legion on course for promotion and maintains their unbeaten run in the league this year.
