Tuosist, playing at home, were always in control against a weakened Stacks who never led throughout the game.  Colm Brosnan and Dara Sugrue were in tremendous scoring form, grabbing 1-6 and 0-8 respectively between them, as they led 1-11 to 0-2 at the interval. Stacks scores came from Danny O’Carroll in the 13th minute and Sean Tansley two minutes before the break.

The same trend continued in the second half with Dara Sugrue and Colm Brosnan
on target and further points came from keeper Stephen O’Sullivan, 45, Sean Healy and their second goal came from Gary Harrington in the 14th minute, to really wrap up the contest. Stacks did get a goal back from Seamus Bastable from a close in free in the 27th minute, but it was too little too late.
