Moyvane 2-11 Churchill 1-10.

Quick delivery and tight defensive work helped Moyvane overcome visitors Churchill on Saturday last. The home side looked very much in control in the opening ten minutes out- scoring Churchill 1-3 to 0-1, Moyvane's goal coming from James Noonan.  Churchill, however, began to use their speed through the middle, running at the home side, holding Moyvane scoreless from the 17th minute until half time, while splitting the posts on four occasions, including two from corner forward, Tommy McCarthy.  Half Time score saw Moyvane leading by a point, 1-3 to 0-5.

Moyvane started the second half brightly with points from Brian and Martin Stack.  This was a highly entertaining half of football, with the home side working diligently to maintain their lead throughout. Killian Fitzgerald and Tommy McCarthy added to Churchill's tally, while Moyvane saw scores from Brian Stack, Colin Enright and Donal Leahy. A goal from Moyvane's Shane Stack on the 42nd minute looked to seal the result for Moyvane, although
the final minutes remained exciting, when Killian Fitzgerald raised the green flag for the visitors.  The result on the final whistle was Moyvane 2-11, Churchill 1-10.
