Cordal are still the only unbeaten team in Division 5 of the Co. League after their eight points win in Connolly Park on Saturday evening.  Very little separated the sides for most of this game.  At half time, the visitors just shaded it by a point (0-6 to 0-5) and that was still the difference between the sides with five minutes of normal time remaining (Cordal 0-9; Stacks 0-8).   However, in the closing seven minutes (two minutes of added time) the home
side ran out of steam, while the Cordal boys, aided by the only goal of the game from corner-forward, Michael Flynn went on to score 1-4 without reply, which leaves them still in second position on the League table with one back game (at home to Cromane) still to play.
