Renard 1-11 Tarbert 2-6

Tarbert made the long journey to play Renard at home on Saturday July 1 at 7.30pm .  The game was played in dry weather with a moderate breeze and Renard had the advantage of this in the first half.  Tarbert dominated the first quarter with a point from Mark Buckley and two points, one from a free, by Killian Langan .  Killian Langan got another point from a free and Alan Curran impeded what would have been an almost certain own goal for Renard. Mark Sugrue and Robert Wharton both got points from play and Andrew Doherty and Finbarr Carrig for the visitors exchanged points with Mark Sugrue and Paudie Casey for Renard.  The first half finished with a point from play and a point from free by Robert Wharton. Half time score Tarbert 2-4 Renard 0-6.

Robert Wharton opened the second half scoring with a point from play.   A goal by David O’Sullivan and a point by Eoin O’Neill edged Renard ahead at end of third quarter.  Tarbert responded with a point by Andrew Doherty to equalise.   Daragh FitzGerald scored two points in succession followed by an Eoin McCrohan point.   Killian Langan Tarbert got the final score, a point from play .   Final score: Renard 1-11 Tarbert 2-6.
