DUAGH 0-11,    FIRIES 3-14.
Firies, playing with a very strong wind, quickly went into a four point lead, all from play, before Duagh responded with two points from play.  Shane O Donoghue with a pointed free put Firies three points up and on the 17th minute Ed Kerrisk put six points between the sides, when he finished a good move to the Duagh net.  A much fitter Firies were playing very fluently at this stage and three further points stretched the lead.  Ger McCarthy pointed for Duagh, but two further goals for Firies from Jack Sherwood and Con O Mahony made Duagh's task very difficult.  Half time score:  Duagh 0-3 Firies 3-9.

Duagh, playing with the strong wind, did respond somewhat in the second half with some great long range point taking by Ger McCarthy, but the damage was done in the first half and the margin was too great.  Duagh did outscore Firies in this half, scoring eight points to Firies five but the result was a foregone conclusion long before the referee blew the final whistle.  Final Score Duagh 0-11, Firies 3-14.
