Castlegregory 0-8,    Scellig Rangers 1-8.

A goal by Diarmuid O’ Sullivan in the seventeenth minute remained the difference between the sides, as Castlegregory lost to Scellig Rangers in of the County League, played in Castlegregory.  The visitors had the benefit of the strong breeze in the opening period and registered an early lead with points from Diarmuid O’ Sullivan, Danny O’ Sullivan and a 45m free from centre back Ber Walsh.  Castlegregory had much of the possession, but were limited to points from Alan Fitzgerald from a 45 and Brandon Hoare from play.  Half time score: Castlegregory 0-2, Scellig Rangers 1-5.

Although Rangers themselves were confined to three points in the second half, their defence managed to repel any Castlegregory attack, forcing the local side to depend on a fine display of free taking from Alan Fitzgerald (5) and a Timmy Moriarty point from play, to remain in touch. The home side battled hard throughout but the goal chance they badly needed never transpired and Diarmuid O’ Sullivan pointed from a free on the final whistle to ensure two league points for the South Kerry men. Final Score:  Castlegregory 0-8, Scellig Rangers 1-8.
