Duagh 0-8   Scartaglen 0-8
This game was played in beautiful weather conditions with just a slight breeze blowing.
Duagh were first off the mark from the throw-in, a nice flowing move resulted in a point from play for M O Connor and this was followed on the fourth minute with a point from a free for Duagh from G McCarthy.   Duagh defence was found guilty of fouling and the resultant frees were converted by Reidy and O Connor to level scores on 11th minute, before P Reidy put Scart ahead on 15th minute with a point from play.  Nigel O Connor levelled again quickly for Duagh, but two points for Scart put the visitors two ahead again on the 20th minute. A point from a free by G McCarthy for Duagh left the half time score: Duagh 0-4 Scartaglen 0-5.  Duagh had a number of chances to level, but all were unsuccessful before the half time whistle went.  

In the second half, points were swapped by McCarthy for Duagh (free) and Horan Scart from play.  Points were again swapped - Horan for Scart and O Connor for Duagh, before Duagh were reduced to 14 men for what seemed a second yellow.  Pa Reidy put Scart two ahead on the 12th minute from a free, but this was to be Scart’s last score and Duagh points from McCarthy and Kelly levelled the scores.  Duagh looked to be getting on top at this stage, but chances were breaking down and then Scart finished the stronger and had chances to win, but quite a few went wide.  Final score Duagh 0-8 Scartaglen 0-8.
