Firies 2 – 5   Lispole 2 - 11

Firies, playing against the wind in the first half, opened the scoring with a point from Shane O'Donoghue, but Lispole hit two goals from Aaron Moriarty and Declan O'Sullivan to put Lispole in control.  Firies responded with a fine solo goal by Con O'Mahony, followed by a point by Padraig DeBrun.  Lispole took control and scored the five unanswered points through Declan O'Sullivan (3) and Cathal O'Sullivan (2).  A penalty at the end of the half converted by Conal Murphy kept Firies in the game.   Half time score Firies 2 - 2            Lispole 2 – 6.

After the break, Lispole stretched their lead with two points from Declan O'Sullivan and Matt Griffin.  A 45 by Shane O'Donoghue kept Firies in touch, but further Lispole points pushed them out of reach.  Scores were exchanged, but Lispole kept control and came out winners by six points.  Final Score Firies 2-5, Lispole 2-11.
