Brosna got off to a flying start scoring 1-7 in the first quarter without reply from the home side St Michaels Foilmore.  Tom McGoldrick opened the scoring with a pointed free after a minute of play. They added three further points from play, two from Adam Barry and one from Gerald Nash.  Their goal came after six minutes of play, when Patrick Moriarty finished the ball to the St Michaels Foilmore net.  They registered three further points from play, one each from Tom McGoldrick, Patrick Moriarty and Adam Barry.  St Michaels Foilmore got on the score board after fifteen minutes of play, with a point from play from Bernard Kelly. Tom McGoldrick and Bernard Kelly exchanged points, but Brosna drove on and added three further points from play, two from Adam Barry and one from Denis McAuliffe to leave the half time score Brosna 1-11 St Michaels Foilmore 0-2.

Brosna began the second half with two points from play, one from Adam Barry and one from Tom McGoldrick.  James Moran responded for the home side with a point from play, but Brosna added two further points from play, one each from Kieran O'Donnell and Patrick Moriarty.  The home side got a consolation goal seventeen minutes in, when Adrian O'Connell found the Brosna net.  Thirteen minutes lapsed without a score, before Tom McGoldrick pointed from play for Brosna to leave the final score:  Brosna 1-16                        St MichaelsFoilmore 1-3.
