Spa 2-14 Waterville 1-08

Michael O'Donoghue (3), Michael McCarthy and Evan Cronin swapped points with Fionan Clifford, Stephen O'Dwyer, Jamie O'Sullivan and Sam Dwyer to make it 0-5 to 0-4 to the visitors, before David Spillane kicked Spa's first goal in the 27th minute.  Michael McCarthy and Alan O'Shea exchanged further points to make it 1-6 to 0-5 to Spa at the break.

Waterville had a brilliant start to the second half, when Jamie O'Sullivan rattled the net and Alan O'Shea pointed again to level the game 1-6 apiece just two minutes in.  Spa, however, dominated the play after this and hit eight unanswered points from Cormac Cronin (3), Mike O'Donoghue and Evan Cronin (4).  Waterville did kick two points from Stephen O'Dwyer, but a late penalty for Spa, finished by Evan Cronin, made it 2-14 to 1-8 at the final whistle.
