KILCUMMIN 3-15 LISTRY 1-11 2017-07-11 01:09:00

Kilcummin 3-15 Listry 1-10

Two early goals from Daniel Moynihan and Oscar O’Connor gave Kilcummin an ideal start within the first eight minutes and immediately Listry were chasing the game.  However, when the referee awarded a penalty to Listry and it was tucked away neatly by Damien Clifford, they were back in the contest.  Kilcummin responded well to the challenge and particularly Noel Duggan, who kicked three points from play to leave his side leading at half time by 2-6 to 1-2.

Listry kicked the first two points of the second half, through Anthony Sweeney, but with Matthew Keane in outstanding form at centre field and Noel Duggan leading the attack, Kilcummin took a stranglehold on the remainder of the game.  Listry remained committed, but were missing the influence of Ronan Buckley and the game was well over as a contest when Matthew Keane scored Kilcummin’s third goal.   Damien Clifford, Derry Aherne and Anthony Sweeney were most influential for Listry, while Donal Maher, Damien O’Leary, Oscar O’Connor and Paul O’Riordan also performed well for the winners.

Kilcummin travel to Listowel Emmets in the next round, while Listry take on the Legion.
