Currow played Waterville on a fine evening in Currow.  Waterville started the better team and scored 1-1 without reply, from Barry O’Dwyer .  John Buckley scored Currow’s first point from play and added two frees.  Stephen O’Dwyer then added a second goal for Waterville and Oran Clifford had another point.  Currow then scored 3 points without reply from Mike McCarthy .

Half Time: Currow 0-12 Waterville 2-3

Waterville found it hard to get scores in the second half and Currow had points from John McMahon (2) and Mike McCarthy.  The sides were level with time running out, when Jamie O’Sullivan kicked Waterville ahead.  John McMahon pulled Currow level and John Buckley fisted the winning point with time almost up.

Currow were delighted to get the 2 league points heading into the break for the championship.
